Karina Horne (UPS)
Karina Horne is the General Manager of UPS in New Zealand. Her role is to manage and grow the small package business.
Karina started her career with UPS Australia in 1997 working her way through a number of our business units.
In 2001 Karina became one of the first female Operations Managers for UPS in Asia Pacific. Her primary role was to run the Sydney centre, which quickly evolved into vetting and implementation of Outside Agent Providers across Australia. This role would take Karina away from Sydney to ensure full training of the UPS procedures and processes. She was known as the “Go To Person”.
In 2003 Karina was promoted into the role of Manager in Melbourne. This branch became very successful whilst under Karina’s leadership, which led to added responsibilities to mentor and train operations supervisors throughout Australia and New Zealand. She also led the auditing team in Sydney making recommendations to improve our finance and accounting processes. In this role she spent a considerable amount of time training management in UPS New Zealand.
At the end of 2006 Karina was promoted into her current role in New Zealand.
